Do You Need a Fishing License in Texas?
You need a fishing license to fish in Texas if you’re older than 17 years old. Children under 17 and adults who were born before 1931 are exempt from the requirement. Anyone can fish without a license in Texas state parks, including Galveston Island State Park.
