A Stairway to Heaven I affords you the luxury of an unobstructed view of the beautiful Gulf of Mexico coastline - from the south and southwest you can see all the way to the city of Galveston. You are literally steps from the sand and water, and can experience some great surf fishing directly in front of the house. This lovely home in a naturally landscaped environment features beach views from all bedrooms and decks.
One bedroom offers a queen bed; the second bedroom has one full-sized bed; and the third has a full-sized daybed with a twin trundle. With two queen sleeper sofas, this home can sleep 10. Stairway to Heaven I features two baths, one of which has ADA/Handicap accommodation and has wide hallways.
This property does not offer wifi, so you'll need to bring a hotspot if internet access is important to you. It's a perfect location to disconnect from the outside world and enjoy each other and the outdoors!

Spring weekend
I was happy with the stay.
Everything was fine. I love the proximity to the sand and the ocean views.
I could not find the thermostat in the home. During the night the house temperature was good. During the day it was cooler outside.
I would have loved a hammock somewhere.

Great Fall Vacation
The house we reserved months ago became unavailable two days before our arrival date and Swede’s did a great job of finding a property that matched the original house with our most important requirement of the house being a true “beachfront” location. The only complaint we have about this house is that the mattresses in all three bedrooms were really bad. If not for that, this review would have been 5 star all the way down.

Great location, amenities could be better
House is right on the beach on a beach access road. Large open loving area large patio. Disappointed there was no Wi-Fi and the TV cable would only pick up a few channels. The microwave would only work if you held the door shut. The beds were ok but I’ve definitely had better at other rentals in the area. Down stairs lighting was either broken or non existent. Made for a dangerous walk up and down the stairs in the dark.

Great week at Stairway to Heaven
This was our second stay at this house and will not be our last. Location, location, location is the main draw (but not all). This house is in a perfect spot. Right on the beach with great views. The front deck is absolutely awesome. Kitchen is very well appointed. You really don't need to bring anything for the kitchen. On downside, beds are a little small and there was no remote to the dvd player but all in all and enjoyable stay. Strongly recommended. Swede's is always great to deal with

Clean house, clean section of beach
Nice house, it is very close to the other home (can almost jump deck to deck) but fortunately no one was there while we were. That could be a problem, depending on neighbor. Also, no wifi which I thought was strange but not a nig deal for me.

Weekend get-away
The home was exactly as pictured, clean and orderly.
Stairs were a bit of a challenge for some of us so note there are a lot. Pack light. Would rent again.
