Stairway to Heaven I affords you the luxury of an unobstructed view of the beautiful Gulf of Mexico coastline - from the south and southwest you can see all the way to the city of Galveston. You are literally steps from the sand and water, and can experience some great surf fishing directly in front of the house. This lovely home in a naturally landscaped environment features beach views from all bedrooms and decks.
The cozy living area has furniture you will want to sink into, as well as a large television. The kitchen offers the comforts of home, with updated appliances and a regular drip coffee maker. There is seating at the kitchen island and separate dining table, and you'll also find a washer and dryer on the premises!
With over 1400 square feet, this home easily accommodates 10. One bedroom offers a queen bed; the second bedroom has one full bed; and the third has a full-size daybed with a twin trundle. With two queen sleeper sofas, there is room for the entire family. Stairway to Heaven I features two baths, one of which has ADA/Handicap accommodation and has wide hallways.
This property does not offer wifi, so you'll need to bring a hotspot if internet access is important to you. It's a perfect location to disconnect from the outside world and enjoy each other and the outdoors!
Small dogs (under 35 pounds) allowed with a pet fee. All Swedes Real Estate vacation rentals are non-smoking properties. Swedes does not rent to guests under 25 years of age.
The homeowner does not provide linens and towels, but, if you choose, they are available upon request from our linen service (additional fee applies).

Amazing view
View was amazing nice house
But the bed in one of the rooms was horrible
I did read the review about the bed I was in hopes it would be fixed but wasn’t other than not sleeping for two nights the house was wonderful
Would stay again and recommend if bed is replaced

Appropriately Named Property
This is our 4th trip to Bolivar, and by far this property is the best - location, price, and amenities. Thanks to the family who owns it for providing such a well-equipped, thoughtful vacation home available for rent. Swede's is super easy to book with and rent from - nothing fancy, just good people who treat you kindly. The only negative was the bed in the (we guess master BR) where the mattress was painful to sleep on, so I slept on one of the sofas, which actually gave me a great view of dawn on the beach.

Stairway to a Heavenly Vacation
I booked this reservation back in March. The picture of the deck view to the surf became my screen saver at work, was posted on the fridge... I hung onto that image for dear life! And, it was even better standing on that deck! Being the last house on the street, there was nothing but a couple of bunnies between us and the dunes.
Each morning, we took a couple of chairs and staked out our section of beach. During the weekdays, we had plenty of space to call our own. By Friday, folks found our piece of paradise.
The kids loved the water slide, Frio Loco snow cones, and learning to crab in the shallows near the ferry. Our favorite restaurant was "Nauti Beaver" with fresh crawfish, Mahi, live music, very casual atmosphere!
Swede's Realty manages this property. They were more than friendly, even inviting me to come have a cup of coffee! When we had a couple of little issues in the house (Ceiling fan remotes and a dryer belt), they sent a maintenance man within minutes!
I would definitely recommend this spot to friends.

Spring weekend
I was happy with the stay.
Everything was fine. I love the proximity to the sand and the ocean views.
I could not find the thermostat in the home. During the night the house temperature was good. During the day it was cooler outside.
I would have loved a hammock somewhere.

Great Fall Vacation
The house we reserved months ago became unavailable two days before our arrival date and Swede’s did a great job of finding a property that matched the original house with our most important requirement of the house being a true “beachfront” location. The only complaint we have about this house is that the mattresses in all three bedrooms were really bad. If not for that, this review would have been 5 star all the way down.

Great location, amenities could be better
House is right on the beach on a beach access road. Large open loving area large patio. Disappointed there was no Wi-Fi and the TV cable would only pick up a few channels. The microwave would only work if you held the door shut. The beds were ok but I’ve definitely had better at other rentals in the area. Down stairs lighting was either broken or non existent. Made for a dangerous walk up and down the stairs in the dark.

Great week at Stairway to Heaven
This was our second stay at this house and will not be our last. Location, location, location is the main draw (but not all). This house is in a perfect spot. Right on the beach with great views. The front deck is absolutely awesome. Kitchen is very well appointed. You really don't need to bring anything for the kitchen. On downside, beds are a little small and there was no remote to the dvd player but all in all and enjoyable stay. Strongly recommended. Swede's is always great to deal with

Clean house, clean section of beach
Nice house, it is very close to the other home (can almost jump deck to deck) but fortunately no one was there while we were. That could be a problem, depending on neighbor. Also, no wifi which I thought was strange but not a nig deal for me.

Weekend get-away
The home was exactly as pictured, clean and orderly.
Stairs were a bit of a challenge for some of us so note there are a lot. Pack light. Would rent again.
