When it comes to food at the Texas Crab Festival, it’s exactly what you’d expect! There is no shortage of amazing and unique crab dishes, and there’s even a crab gumbo cook-off so that you can participate in sharing great food! Anyone can enter to show off their best crab gumbo, and four awards will be given out to only the best of the best, so start practicing your roux now!
Activities
Start Saturday off with the 5K/1K Fun Run at Fort Travis Seashore Park! The paved path on a scenic and historical site is the perfect way to get the day started. The festival also hosts a wide variety of contests, tournaments, and activities throughout the weekend, Friday-Sunday! Show off your moves at the Texas 2-Step dance contest, prove your worth at the cornhole tournament, get the young one involved with a scavenger hunt and youth media contest, and that’s not even everything!
